Route

Day 1 Arrival at the airport of Havana, received by our staff and transfer to the city. Accommodation and dinner Memories Miramar hotel 4*.
Day 2 Briefing. Route through the city with a visit to the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit of the squares of the capital Plaza de la Catedral, Plaza de Armas, Plaza de San Francisco de Asis, Plaza Vieja. Lunch in the city center. In the afternoon sightseeing tour of Campidolio, Central Park, the Park of the fraternity, the Revolution Square and the Museum-Foundation of Havana Club Rum Visit to the Mirador del Morro Castle Return to the hotel. Day 3 HAVANA- TERRAZAS- Early morning departure to Las Terrazas and the community . Visit the Casa del Campesino . Las Terrazas is a rural community of sustainable development, which is located on the banks of the San Juan River in the Sierra del Rosario , in the province of Artemisa , the western part of Cuba . It has an area of 5000 hectares and a population of about 1000 inhabitants. The community project started in 1971 with the goal of connecting rural communities with their environment . The region of Las Terrazas had suffered heavy deforestation since the colonial period, due to the nearby copper mines , indiscriminate logging and coffee plantations , leaving the area as a real lunar landscape. The project since 1971 has repopulated the area and brought green life back to one of the most fascinating landscapes in Cuba. Lunch at a local restaurant, in the afternoon leisurely swim and relax in the San Juan River. Return to hotel in Havana for dinner.
Day 4 LA HABANA-GUAMA - CIENFUEGOS - TRINIDAD. Breakfast at hotel. Departure approximately 7.30 to the Peninsula of Zapata there are more than 900 native species of plants, 175 species of birds, 31 species of reptiles and more than 1,000 species of invertebrates. Some of the most notable are local endemic species in Cuba. Zapata is also known to the local endemic Cuban crocodile (Crocodylus rhombifer ) . Within the peninsula there are several areas designated for environmental conservation , and Las Salinas wildlife sanctuary , which is part of the wider Biosphere Reserve which in total is more than 6,000 km ² and the largest protected area, not only in Cuba but also in the Caribbean. We visit a reconstruction of a typical village that the origins of Cuba was inhabited by Taino Indians built on stilts that can be reached after a short cruise on the lagoon. During the tour the guide will tell the story of these people and that of the place . You will also visit the crocodile breeding . Lunch on site. Passing through the city of Cienfuegos visit to the Colonial city center, the Thomas Terry Theatre, the Malecon. Transfer to the city of Trinidad. Accommodation and dinner at the hotel.
Day 5 TRINIDAD : Breakfast at hotel. Walking tour through the historic city of Trinidad for its state of preservation faithfully reproduces the atmosphere of the colonial era . One of the most beautiful colonial cities of Cuba , was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1988 . Trinidad was founded by Diego Velázquez de Cuéllar in 1514 with the name of Villa de la Santisima Trinidad. It is one of the best-preserved cities in the Caribbean , from the time when sugar was the main trade in these places. The remnants of the colonial period and slavery , which flourished in Trinidad,are the main attraction for visitors all over the world. Walking tour among the streets, visit to the city museum , the church of the Santissima Trinidad, stop at la Canchánchara bar where you can enjoy a typical drink whose recipe comes from the customs of the Spanish settlers who used the typical local ingredient , lime juice , brown sugar and rum. . Stop at the workshop of ceramic , which is one of the artistic and cultural resources of the area are typical of Trinidad. Return to hotel for afternoon on the beach . Evening at leisure. Day 6 TRINIDAD - SANTA CLARA - or HAVANA VARADERO: Breakfast and departure for Santa Clara, stop at the mausoleum where lie the remains of the hero of the Cuban revolution, Ernesto Che Guevara. Lunch at local restaurant. The onward journey to Havana or Varadero. END OF TOUR
